The Spiritual Resource Foundation

The Spiritual Resource Foundation - a tax-exempt, non-profit foundation- supports Christian Science activities in the Russian-speaking field.  

What we are doing:  (Click on each to see related projects.)

• Providing financial support to help groups get started and become churches. 
• Translating and printing Christian Science literature in Russian.
• Supporting events, lectures and workshop activity.
• Producing and broadcasting radio programs on Christian Science in Russian.
• Providing a website on Christian Science activities for the Russian-speaking world.

There is no official connection with The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist in Boston, Mass.  The Foundation does, however, work closely with the Clerk of The Mother Church to ensure that all of its projects are in accordance with Church policy and with its Manual.

Since the fall of the Iron Curtain in 1989, Christian Science Societies and informal groups have sprung up in Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Russia and Ukraine.  They face daily opposition in the form of hostility to Western religions and laws restricting religious freedom.  Legal status is critical to their ability to own property, disseminate Christian Science literature, sponsor public lectures, etc.  The need for prayerful and financial support is ongoing.
